Convalescent Care
Our convalescent care acts as a vibrant retreat for residents who are recovering from an illness or hospital stay. These individuals no longer require hospital care but still need 24-hour surveillance for the short term while regaining strength and returning to their regular routine. Our highly competent team take pride in delivering personalised convalescent care you can trust.
Dementia Care
At Derwent Lodge Care Home, we have a separate dementia care unit for those who need it. With professional around-the-clock care by a specialist dementia team, you and the ones closest to you can rest assured that each of your dementia needs are being fulfilled. We know that everybody is at their own stage of dementia and may suffer from different symptoms which is why we provide personalised care on a 1-1 basis, meaning you can focus on doing the things you love most while we take care of everything else.
Nursing Care
Our care home in Billingshurst, West Sussex, offers nursing care for individuals who have more extreme health needs. This may range anywhere from a disability or long-term health or neurological condition including Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s or heart disease. We have a committed team who can offer the highest standards of personal and medical care throughout all hours of the day.
Palliative Care
Palliative care, which is also called end-of-life care, is suitable for people living with a serious illness and focuses on providing relief from any symptoms or side effects that may occur. The main goal is to improve the quality of life for the person receiving palliative care and the people closest to them during an important time. Our team are available whenever you need any further support while you are receiving your care.
Residential Care
Residential care at Derwent Lodge provides a vibrant retreat who require some extra support with their daily activities but can live independently on the whole. When you live with us, you can enjoy living in a group setting whilst having control and focusing on continuing to do what you love most, we will take care of everything else. Bringing smiles to the faces of those in our care fills our hearts with warmth, which is why we work hard to ensure our residents can live their best lives.
Respite Care
Our short-term respite care is provided to people when their caregiver needs a break from their responsibilities, but they still need somebody to provide care to them. This allows the older individual to still receive the care they need without the carer becoming run down or exhausted. Respite care is also appropriate for a trial period to see if Derwent Lodge is the right care home for you, before you move in long term.
